Dear Running USA Members,

Today I'm sending you a heartfelt message as the CEO of the strongest professional association in the running industry.    

We've just concluded our tenth annual industry conference, the most well-received such event to date.  In the wake of  its success, as well as the continuing growth and stability of this great organization, many of the goals I set when I became CEO of Running USA have been achieved.  With a secure infrastructure in place, the time is  right to announce my retirement.   

Since coming aboard in March 2008, I've had the distinct pleasure of getting to know so many of you.  You are the reason this wonderful sport we love has blossomed and continues to grow.  You spend countless hours of service just to be sure our participants enjoy themselves at a race. 

I also, want to recognize  our collective sponsors, who are savvy enough to support an industry that is focused on the health and well-being of our nations citizens.   

Kevin Callahan, our new president, has formed a search committee and the process of selecting a new leader is underway.  I will remain with Running USA for the next few months to ensure a smooth transition. 

Thanks for all you do and know that I will always cherish my time with all of you and Running USA.
