Recruiting: Oregon Recruits Running Strong
Published by
The college decision process is in full swing for most seniors around the country. The top prep distance runners are selecting from the numerous scholarship offers coming their way, and the early favorite on the boys side is the University of Oregon. With verbal commitments from a handful of extremely talented, top-rated, runners, the Ducks are looking strong. This past weekend showcased just how strong the Ducks' recruiting class is, as UO recruits placed 1-2-3 at the Millrose Games. Chad Noelle (NY) outkicked GALA veteran Matt Jablonski (MD) 4:16.71-4:16.81, while Jeramy Elkaim (NJ) finished third in 4:19.60. GALA miler Miles Schoedler placed fourth in 4:20.46. With Noelle, Jablonski and Elkaim, to go along with Foot Locker & NXN champion Lukas Verzbicas (IL) and the incredibly versatile Elias Geydon (CA), the Ducks not only have talent, but have depth in their 2011 recruiting class.
