A few times a week, every week, we'll post up three articles that are worth the read.  While many of the posts we'll write each week pertain to articles that have relevant information, we'll showcase a few further articles each week that are worth the read, but won't have as much commentary from us.  Here's our first The Top Three...

Ritz Breaks the American 5k Record (Runnerspace) - Bob Kennedy set the American record in 1996, when Dathan Ritzenhein was barely a teenager.  Thirteen years later, Ritzenhein became the first American under 13 minutes since '96, as he shattered the American 5k record with his 12:56.27 performance Friday evening in Zurich.  Check out the FloTrack interview with Ritz as well HERE

Olathe East (KS) Eyes State Title (KC Star) - For the better part of the last two decades, Shawnee Mission Northwest H.S. has dominated boys cross country in the state of Kansas.  Last year, the team lost at state for the first time in 14 years, giving many of the state's other top programs hope that they can do the same this year and walk home with a state title.

Ohio State Cross Country Previews (OHRunners) - With the season starting to ramp up in most states across the U.S., state previews are coming out in full force, whether they be from newspapers or websites.  We'll try to post up as many as we can over the coming two weeks, starting with Ohio.
