Dyestat contributor, Matt McCue, posted up his final piece in the Things I’ve Learned series.  McCue wrote a series of articles this summer with past high school standouts and a few top high school coaches.  The final subject in the summer series is none other than York H.S. coach Joe Newton

In the piece, Newton discusses how he came to coach at York, some of the influential coaches in his career, his friendship with Arthur Lydiard and gives great insight into how the York team functions, some of his coaching philosophies, and coaching Illinois distance running legend Don Sage.  This is a must read for any high school distance running fan.
